You create a request, send each person their own link, and the documents and answers arrive in that person's folder, where you can open, check and download them.

Everything you collect starts as a request. A request asks one or more people for documents or written answers. Each person gets their own private link, and the notice they read before they upload is written from your request. There are two kinds you can create and a third that is made when you renew a client's consent.

Setting it up

  1. 1 Create the request on one screen. Choose New request and fill in the four sections.
  2. 2 Add the people you are asking. You can pick a client you already hold instead of typing their details again. If a detail on file is wrong, correct it in the client's folder.
  3. 3 Choose the documents and answers you need. A document or a written answer can each be required or optional. A PAN Card or Driving Licence item can also be fetched from DigiLocker.
  4. 4 Set the retention rule and its period options, and choose how long the link stays open.
  5. 5 To reuse a layout, save it as a template and start from it next time. You can change or delete a template later.

When you choose Create request, the notice is fixed. A request has no edit screen, so a different ask needs a new request. If you already hold the documents and only need the person's notice and consent, record consent only.

Sending

Creating a request does not send anything. You then send each person their link yourself, or have us send it for you. To reach everyone who has not been sent a link, send to all. Your client then sees the upload page and receives our reminders if you chose them. You can stop the reminders for one person.

After it is sent

Working with what arrives

View a document on screen or download it. Each file carries a fingerprint taken as it arrived. Your clients can upload only the file types and sizes we accept. To locate a request later, find it from Requests, and use Mine and Everyone to choose whose work you see.

For example

Amaltas Deshmukh & Co creates a request for Farhan Qureshi on 1 July 2027 with a retention period of 1 year and a link that stays open for 14 days. The link works until 15 July 2027. An admin chooses Copy link and sends it to Farhan the same day. Farhan sends part of his documents on 1 July 2027 and the rest on 8 July 2027. His first documents are due for deletion on 30 June 2028 and the rest on 7 July 2028, because the period counts from the day each one arrives.
