Your client can upload PDF, JPG, JPEG, PNG, WebP, HEIC, TIFF, TXT, DOCX, XLSX and ODT files, up to 50 MB each and 500 MB together on one request.

Any other type is refused, for example a ZIP archive or an older .doc file. We also check a file's content against the type its name says, so an image renamed to .pdf, for example, is refused.

Each file can be up to 50 MB. The files one person sends on one request can total up to 500 MB. A file that would take that person over 500 MB is refused.

Your client sees the name of the refused file and the reason, and is asked to choose another file or a smaller one. They see it on the upload page.

An item set to Upload or DigiLocker can also be filled from DigiLocker. A file taken from DigiLocker passes the same checks.

The types and the limits are the same for every firm. PDFs and most images open on screen. The other types are downloaded to be opened.
