No, type two or more characters of a client's name, email or phone in a person row and pick the client from the list, and their details fill in from your records.
When you add a person to a request, the builder searches your clients as you type. A list headed In your records opens under the field. It shows up to 6 clients whose name, email or phone matches. Choose one and the row becomes a card with their details and the tag on file. A client who has been erased is never offered.
The pencil on the card opens the fields again. It shows only if your role holds the Correct a person’s details switch. Without it there is no pencil, and the picked client is used as they are on file. If you change the name, phone or email there, your records are updated with it. The builder names a changed phone or email before you create. The change is made when you choose Create request. It is the same correction you can make from the client's folder.
If you type a phone number or an email that is already on a client's record without picking them, the request still goes to that client. The name you typed does not replace the name on file. A request holds one link per client. Two rows that resolve to the same client are refused, and the builder asks you to keep one. If you change a picked client's phone or email to one that belongs to a different client, the builder refuses it and tells you whose record it is on.
For example
Amaltas Deshmukh & Co starts a request and types "Anita" in the first row. Anita Deshpande appears under In your records, and Amaltas Deshmukh & Co picks her. Her phone number is out of date, so Amaltas Deshmukh & Co changes it on the card. When it chooses Create request, her record is updated and her link is issued in the same step.
