It is a private link from a firm that wants your documents or your consent, and the pages below follow it from checking that it is genuine to what happens to your documents afterwards.

A firm you deal with has asked you, through us, for documents, for written answers or for your consent. Confidential Dispatch runs the page the firm uses. The link is private to you, and it opens a page with no sign-in and no account. The firm decides what it asks for and how long it keeps it. The page tells you both before you add anything.

Three kinds of link come from the firm:

  • An upload link asks for documents or typed answers.
  • A consent request asks for your consent to documents the firm already holds or will collect itself. Nothing is uploaded.
  • A renewal asks to keep what you shared for longer. See what a renewal means.

The pages that follow take you through it in order:

  1. 1 Check that the link is genuine. If you are unsure, confirm the request with the firm before you add anything.
  2. 2 Read the notice and give your consent. What the consent box means is explained on its own page. You can read the notice in your own language. Who can see what you upload is explained on another.
  3. 3 Add your documents or type your answers, then send them. Some documents can be fetched from DigiLocker. How you come to know they arrived is on its own page.
  4. 4 Keep your receipt. Finding your receipt explains how. If you did not save it, see what to do next.
  5. 5 Afterwards, the firm keeps your documents for the period in the notice and then deletes them. What happens after you upload covers it.
  6. 6 Later, you can withdraw your consent or ask for a copy, a correction or deletion. The firm may also ask you to renew.
  7. 7 If the link stops working, see what to do when it expires.
For example

Amaltas Deshmukh & Co sends Anita Deshpande a request on 1 July 2027 with a 14-day link and a retention period of 1 year. Her link stays open until 15 July 2027, which the page shows as Respond by. She ticks the consent box and sends everything on 1 July 2027. The page says All items received and gives her a receipt, which she prints. Her documents are deleted on 30 June 2028. Had she not finished by 15 July 2027, her link would have expired and she would have asked the firm for a new one.
