A link from us starts with the address below. A long string of letters and numbers follows it, and that string belongs to you alone. A link that starts with any other address is not ours.
https://app.confidentialdispatch.com/c/
The link opens a page with no sign-in and no account. Under Request from, the page shows the name of the firm that asked, beside the firm's logo. A firm that has not added a logo shows a tile with the first letter of its name instead. The name is the one the firm entered in its own account. Below it are the title of the request and what it is for. The page also shows how many items are asked for and the Respond by date, which is the day the link stops working. A line reading This link was sent to shows a hidden version of the phone number or email address the firm entered for you, for example +91-9xxxx-xx111 or p•••@domain.com.
The Privacy notice panel says what the firm asks for, why, how long it keeps it, what your rights are and who to contact with a grievance. Choose Read the full notice to read all of it. Opening the page sends nothing to the firm. We record that the link was opened. The firm sees that record in its audit trail.
Nothing can be added until you tick the box in the consent panel and choose Agree and continue. What the consent box means is explained on its own page. The page has no place to enter a password or a payment. If the firm allows DigiLocker for an item, the list also offers Fetch from DigiLocker, as described in fetching from DigiLocker. That takes you to DigiLocker, where you sign in with DigiLocker itself.
A link reaches you in one of two ways. The firm may send it from its own phone or email. Or the firm may ask us to email it, and the email then comes from the firm's name followed by "via Confidential Dispatch". That email shows the link as plain text as well as behind its button. It tells you not to reply with documents. We never ask you to send documents by email. Documents go in only through the link.
The page shows the firm's name as the firm entered it. Only the firm can tell you whether the request is real. If you did not expect the message, or the name is not a firm you deal with, do not add anything. Contact the firm using a phone number or email address you already have for it, not one from the message, and ask whether it sent you the link.
A link we do not recognise shows This link is not valid and names no firm. The same message can appear when a genuine firm's account is not available at the moment, so ask the firm before you decide anything.
Anyone who holds your link can open the page and add files as if they were you. Do not forward it.
