When a link has ended, the page shows the firm's name under Request from and the pill Link expired. It says that the link has expired and that you should reach out to the firm for a fresh one. It shows nothing about the request, not its items and not its purpose.
Only the firm can give you a new link. Contact it using details you already have. If the firm asked us to email you the request, you can also reply to that email, and your reply goes to the firm's grievance contact. Do not reply with documents.
When the firm issues a new link, the old one stops working at once. The new link stays open for the number of days the firm chose. What you sent before is still there, and if you already agreed you are not asked to agree again. Issuing a link does not email it to you, so the firm has to send it.
Files you had added but not sent when the link ended were not delivered. If the link ends while the page is open, the page says Not sent. and that the files you added in that visit were discarded. Add them again with the new link.
A link can also stop working for another reason, and the pill names it:
| Pill | What it means |
|---|
| Link replaced | The firm issued a newer link. Use the latest one the firm sent. If it has not reached you, ask the firm. |
| Request closed | The firm closed the request, so it takes no more documents. What you sent before it closed was received. If you think this is a mistake, ask the firm. |
| Request complete | The request is finished. Nothing more is needed from you. |
| Link not active | The firm erased your data, so the link no longer works. If you have a question about your data, ask the firm. |
| Not a valid link | The address may be mistyped, or the link may never have existed. It can also mean the firm's account is not available at the moment. Ask the firm. |
If it was a renewal link that expired unanswered, the dates you were promised stand and the firm sees that you did not answer. See what a renewal means.
