Adding a file is not sending it. When you add a file, its row shows the file's name with Remove beside it. A file you fetched from DigiLocker shows Successfully retrieved from DigiLocker in place of a name. The file reaches the firm only when you press the Send button, which reads Send followed by the number of items. A file you add and never send is removed after 7 days.
While it sends, the page may say Still sending. Do not close the page until it finishes. If sending fails, the page says Submission failed and that nothing was lost. Try the Send button again.
When you send only some items, each sent item shows Already received. The strip at the top shows Already sent with a count, such as 2 of 3 items, and Still needed with what remains. You can add the rest with the same link until the Respond by date. A part-send gives no receipt. Items marked Optional never hold the request open, so the request is complete when every item that is not optional has arrived.
When it is complete, the page shows All items received and says the firm has been notified. A receipt follows under Take your copy now. You can also finish early, once at least one item is sent or added. Choose the link “I can’t provide the remaining items” and confirm with Yes, close this page. The page then says Closed. and that the firm has been told you cannot provide the rest. You get a receipt then too.
We do not email or message you to confirm an upload. The only email about it is the receipt, and only to an address you type under Or email a copy to yourself on the receipt page. Finding your receipt explains how.
If you are not sure whether it went through, open the same link again. Items that arrived show Already received. If every item that is not optional is in, the page instead says the request is finished and that nothing more is needed from you. The page does not show the files you sent. If the link has ended in the meantime, whatever you sent before it ended was received. An expired link is covered separately.
