Everything in your account is recorded in a chain you can read on the audit trail, export and check yourself, and this page walks through each part in order.

What you can show comes in three layers. The first is the record of what happened. The second is the proof that the record has not changed. The third is a copy you can keep and check on your own.

  1. 1 Read the record. The audit trail lists every event on your account, newest first. Filter it by type and date to find one thing, and export it to hand it over. The audit trail is one of three lists under Activity. Your daily summary lists each morning the records that had no email of their own.
  2. 2 Give your client their copy. At the end of a request your client gets a consent receipt. It names the notice they agreed to by its fingerprint, and you hold the same fingerprint.
  3. 3 Know why the record can be trusted. Each entry is chained to the one before it. Once a day the latest fingerprint is copied to storage nobody can rewrite, as daily anchors.
  4. 4 Download the evidence. The evidence on its own is small and has no limit. A full export adds the documents. The export limits say what happens if a download fails, and what is inside lists every file.
  5. 5 Check it yourself. Checking the export needs nothing from us. It shows that a file is the one that arrived and that the chain and the anchors agree.
For example

On 1 July 2027 Anita Deshpande finishes a request from Amaltas Deshmukh & Co and uploads her PAN card. Her receipt names the notice fingerprint, and each document she sent has a fingerprint of its own. The fingerprint of each document is written into the chain, and the audit trail shows the entries. The next daily anchor covers them. The same day an admin downloads Documents & Evidence from Settings. The export stays open until 8 July 2027. Within those 7 days the admin works out the fingerprint of her PAN card, finds the same code in the manifest and finds it again in the chain, on the entry for 1 July 2027.
