Open Activity, choose Audit trail, and read each row as what happened, who did it and how, with a number that marks its place in your record.

The audit trail lists every event on your proof record, newest first. It holds everything the Activity tab shows. It also holds every document view and download, every sign-in and every refused action. The three lists differ in what they hold and who sees them.

  1. 1 Open Activity.
  2. 2 Choose Audit trail.

Admins always see this tab. A colleague sees it only when their role has the See the audit trail switch on. Anyone else does not see the tab.

Each row has four parts.

PartWhat it shows
TimeWhen the event happened, in IST. Rows sit under a band for the day.
SentenceWhat happened, then the client it concerns, then the request.
Number and actorThe entry's number, then who did it: you, a colleague's email, the person, or the system.
Vialink when the client acted through their own link. app when a signed-in colleague acted. A dash when the system acted.

Names and request titles are read when you open the page. A client whose data was erased shows as Erased person. A row opens the request, the client's folder or the screen the event belongs to, when it has one. On a computer, hovering over a row shows the references stored with the entry.

The number gives the entry's place in the record. Numbers rise with time. They skip in your list, because one sequence runs across everything we record and not only your account.

The page shows 50 entries at a time and goes back 10 pages. When your trail is longer, a line under the list says how many entries there are in all. To read the rest, filter by type and date or export the audit trail. The event families page lists every kind of entry.

Nothing on this page edits or deletes an entry. Each entry is chained to the one before it.
