An admin opens Settings, finds Export your data and chooses Documents & Evidence beside each part, and each part can be started 3 times in 7 days.

Only an admin sees the export card. While your account is suspended, the same card is on Plan & billing.

  1. 1 Open Settings and find the Export your data card.
  2. 2 Find the row for your documents. It is labelled All documents. When you hold a lot, the documents are split into parts and each row is labelled with its part.
  3. 3 Choose Documents & Evidence. A zip downloads.
  4. 4 If there are several parts, repeat step 3 on each row.

Each zip holds that part's documents, the evidence folder, a manifest and a README. Choose Documents only instead to leave the evidence folder out. The export contents page lists what is inside.

Your first download starts the export. It takes a snapshot of your account at that moment. Documents that arrive afterwards are not in it. The export stays open for 7 days, and each part can be started 3 times in that time. The export limits page explains the counts. The documents of a client whose data was erased are not in it, and the evidence still records the erasure.

We build the zip as it downloads. We do not keep a copy and we do not email it.

BEFORE YOU DO THIS

The documents in the zip are decrypted so that you can open them. Anyone who has the zip can open them. Keep it the way you keep the original files.
