Ask an admin at your firm to reset your two-factor from Team, or write to support if you are the only admin, and then sign in with your password alone.

With two-factor on, sign-in asks for a code at every sign-in, so without the app you cannot get in. Only an admin can reset someone's two-factor, and nobody can reset their own.

If you are an admin resetting a colleague's

  1. 1 Open Team.
  2. 2 On the person's row, choose Reset two-factor (lost device). It appears only on an active person who has two-factor on, and never on your own row.
  3. 3 Enter Your password. This is your own password, not theirs.
  4. 4 Choose Reset two-factor.

If your password does not match, nothing changes and the row says so.

The person's two-factor is turned off and every sign-in of theirs ends. We email them that two-factor was reset. They sign in with their password alone and can set it up again from Settings whenever they like. The reset goes into the audit trail as Two-factor reset by an admin.

If you are the only admin

No colleague can reset yours. The in-app support form works only once you are signed in. Write to [email protected] instead. Support can reset it for you, and we email you the same notice, saying support did it.

If you are not an admin

Ask an admin at your firm to follow the steps above.
