The notice above the Sign in button names the reason, whether sign-in is paused after wrong attempts, your account is disabled, or your firm's account is unavailable.

When sign-in is refused, a notice appears above the Sign in button. Its first words tell you which case you are in.

The notice starts withWhat it meansWhat to do
Too many attempts.Sign-in for this account is paused after repeated wrong passwords or codes.Wait until the time the notice gives.
Account disabled. An admin at your firm has disabled your account.Ask an admin.
Account suspended.Your firm's account is suspended for non-payment.Ask your admin.
Firm unavailable.Your firm's account is temporarily unavailable.Contact support.

Each wrong password or wrong code counts toward the pause. The pause lasts 15 minutes. The notice shows the time it ends, in IST.

The right password does not end the pause early. A new password does not end it either. If you cannot recall your password, reset it rather than guess.

If your admin has disabled you, nothing on your side lifts it. Your admin can enable you again.

What you can and cannot do while an account is suspended has its own page.
