Turn it on from the Renew your plan card with Turn on automatic renewal, and turn it off from the Automatic renewal card with Cancel automatic renewal.

Automatic renewal charges the price of your plan, plus GST, to a card, a UPI app or a bank mandate each time the plan ends. Only a person whose role has the Plan & billing switch can turn it on or off. If you pay for a plan for the first time, paying for your plan sets it up for you.

Turning it on

You can turn it on while your plan is active and automatic renewal is not set up. In that state Plan & billing shows the Renew your plan card.

  1. 1 Open the menu under your email address at the bottom of the side rail and choose Plan & billing.
  2. 2 On the Renew your plan card, choose Turn on automatic renewal.
  3. 3 Read the plan, the cycle and the amount, then choose Set up automatic renewal.
  4. 4 In the Razorpay window, approve your card, your UPI app or your bank mandate.

Nothing is charged today. The first charge falls on the day your current plan ends, and the same charge repeats each year or month after it. Your bank or UPI app may ask you to approve the charge. For an annual plan we email everyone whose role has the Plan & billing switch 7 days before the plan's last day, with the date and the amount. A monthly plan gets no such email.

Turning it off

  1. 1 Open Plan & billing.
  2. 2 On the Automatic renewal card, choose Cancel automatic renewal.
  3. 3 Choose Cancel automatic renewal again to confirm, or Keep it to leave it on.

Your plan keeps running until its last day and nothing more is charged. The Automatic renewal row on the page then shows the date it ends. We email everyone whose role has the Plan & billing switch 7 days before the last day to say the plan will not renew. To keep going, renew by hand before then.

If the first charge has not been made yet, the cancellation takes effect at once and nothing is ever charged. That is the case when you set it up during the free days or turned it on during a running plan. During the free days they carry on to their end, so choose a plan again before then. During a running plan it runs to its last day.

While a cancellation waits for the end date, the card offers Renew now and Change plan. It does not offer a way to turn automatic renewal back on. You cannot cancel while a charge is failing. Paying from Plan & billing stops it instead.
